2008 Usage Statistics: Journal, Database and E-book Update

2008 annual UC systemwide aggregated and campus-by-campus usage statistics for selected major Tier 1 and Tier 2 journals, databases and ebooks are now available on the Inside CDL website.

Irvine Adds to UC Shared Images in ARTstor

UC Shared Images in ARTstor continue to grow with the addition of over 600 images from the Irvine campus, with approximately 1,200 more to be added later in May. The new UCI collection is available, along with collections from UCB, UCSB, and UCSC, from the ARTstor home page under "Institutional Collections".

CDL welcomes new Resource Liaisons

CDL is pleased to welcome the following group of librarians to the Resource Liaisons (RL) program. Resource Liaisons provide a crucial link between the UC system and our licensed resource vendors, as well as providing a link between CDL and the campuses.

Next Generation Melvyl – April Enhancements

Over the weekend of April 19th, a number of changes were brought into Next Generation Melvyl, supported by WorldCat Local (WCL).  These changes are especially noticeable on the detailed record display.

University of California Libraries Evaluation of Scopus

INSPEC moving from Ovid to Web of Science Platform

INSPEC, the premier database for computer science, information technology, physics and electronics engineering, will move from Ovid to the ISI Web of Knowledge platform.

New UC Shared Images Metadata Guidelines

The UC Shared Images program recently revised and published its guidelines for shareable metadata. Version 2.0 of the "Metadata Submission Guidelines" (MSG) is now available on Inside CDL.
