CDL ERMS implementation finishes

The CDL ERMS Implementation Team (iTeam) has fulfilled its charge and completed the implementation of the CDL ERMS for CDL staff use. The CDL ERMS brings together critical CDL acquisitions and licensing data in one place using Serials Solutions’ 360 Resource Manager, a hosted web product.

Resource Cancellation – Global Books in Print

Global Books in Print is being cancelled as of December 31, 2009.  This cancellation was made as a result of a systemwide review of Tier 1 & Tier 2 resources.

Mellon Planning Grant Awarded to UC Libraries for a Western Regional Storage Trust

The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation has awarded the University of California Libraries a nine month planning grant to organize the “Western Regional Storage Trust (WEST)” — a shared print repository service, focused initially on retrospective journal archives.

Completion of UC-Internet Archive on-site mass digitization projects

In 2005, the UC Libraries entered into a ground-breaking partnership with the Internet Archive to digitize public domain book collections from the University of California Libraries.
