What We’re Working On
As part of our effort to assist content owners with depositing new materials into Merritt, we’ve established a content ingest workspace for use by our team. Essentially this is a combination of infrastructure components that allows us to help depositors ingest content by way of transfer devices that they may hand over to the Merritt team. For example, team members can directly push content from a HDD to S3, at which point it can be organized and merged with metadata through use of an EC2 host which interfaces with the S3 bucket via Amazon’s FSx for Lustre product. And last but certainly not least, the solution is enabled by a Lambda that works to provide presigned URLs and manifests for the actual ingest process. The entire solution is built to be instantiated and then torn down based on project lifecycles. For more information regarding this workspace, please feel free to reach out to us and ask questions!
