New Collections added and activated:

  • ProQuest Historical Newspapers: newly added titles for Access & Build Plan were activated in Alma (More information). Cataloging of these titles is in progress.
  • Dai Kanwa Jiten, a new add-on to the JapanKnowledge subscription, was activated and cataloged in September (More information).

Highlights on Other Activities:

  • Taylor & Francis eBooks: CDL Shared Collections is working on processing the new HSS 2024 ebooks and 2024 STMnetbase/CRCnetbase books that were recently purchased. More information on this can be found here.
  • E-Resource Team members (including SCP) as part of CDL Shared Collections have reviewed and provided collective feedback on several SILS proposals on expanded NZ access:
    • Guidelines for Cataloging and Making Accessible Open Access (OA) Monographs in the Network Zone
    • Network Zone Principles & Operational Guidelines
    • Network Zone Account request process
  • MARCIVE: MARCIVE has announced its closure by the end of December 2024. The University of California (UC) has been loading MARCIVE records for US Government Documents in the Alma Network Zone. Furthermore, the Government Publishing Office (GPO) has announced the cessation of its Cataloging Record Distribution Program by the end of December. The CDL and SILS Resource Management Operation Subteam have started the exploration of alternative options for providing access to U.S. government documents.
