HathiTrust Books Available via UC-eLinks

CDL is pleased to announce access to selected HathiTrust books via UC-eLinks.  HathiTrust books free of copyright restrictions, contributed by both UC and other HathiTrust partners, are now available via a link in the UC-eLinks menu window.

The links appear when a user comes across a record in FirstSearch WorldCat and worldcat.org and possibly in databases such as Chadwyck-Healey where older books are linked.  (Note that there can be both HathiTrust and Google Book Search links in the same UC-eLinks menu window, which you’ll see in a couple of the examples below.)  They will not appear in the NGM Pilot (WCL) because UC-eLinks is not activated for there for monographs.

Users will rarely come upon the UC-eLinks windows for these materials since, compared to our total collections, there are currently relatively few items; however, we are pleased to surface UC’s HathiTrust materials in yet another way.  See below for examples:
