New Resource: Nanboku-cho Ibun

Our UC campuses have access to a new collection at JapanKnowledge! The collection Nanboku-cho Ibun 南北朝遺文 (Collection of Historical Materials of the Nanboku-cho Period)contains 22 original volumes with over 20,000 historical documents from the Nanboku-cho era.

From the publisher’s site: The Nanboku-cho Ibun is a collection of historical materials covering more than 60 years from the collapse of the Kamakura Bakufu (Kamakura Shogunate) in Genko 3 (Shokyo 2, 1333) to the unification of the Nanboku-cho in Meitoku 5 (Genchu 11, 1394).

Access at JapanKnowledge: https://japanknowledge.com/lib/en/search/ibunseries/

Access is available to all UC campuses, and was generously funded by five campuses: Berkeley, Davis, UCLA, San Diego, and Santa Barbara.
