AP Images Collection to be Discontinued

University of California users have had multiple ways to access Associated Press (AP) content over the years, including both the AP Images Collection at EBSCOhost, and the newer AP Newsroom platform, a standalone site, through EBSCO.  In 2019, UC’s main method for accessing our systemwide subscription became the new AP Newsroom website, and users were encouraged to update links and migrate their usage to the new platform at that time.

On August 1, 2025, access to AP Images Collection on EBSCOhost will be discontinued. Our access to AP Newsroom will remain active.

If UC libraries are using bookmarks or links to AP Images Collection at EBSCOhost locally, users will want to update links to AP Newsroom.  As a reminder, campus URLs to AP Newsroom can be found here: https://cdlib.org/services/info-services/ap-newsroom/ 

The AP Newsroom platform has also been upgraded in 2025. Visit this article at EBSCO for more information on new features, including enhanced search features, and an updated homepage & views options.
