CDL Staff Promoted

Three CDL staff members were promoted during the most recent UC Office of the President promotion cycle: Barbara Hui and Amy Wieliczka of the Publishing, Archives, and Digitization program and Alison Wohlers of the Shared Collections program.

Barbara Hui and Amy Wieliczka have both been promoted to the role of Senior Applications Programmer.

Barbara builds and maintains critical infrastructure for two collection management systems used by dozens of locations across the UC, specifically Nuxeo, a digital asset management system, and ArchivesSpace, an archival metadata management system. In her new role she will be helping to guide the building and maintenance of technical infrastructure across the Publishing, Archives, and Digitization program.

Amy leads the development of the front-end and back-end of Calisphere, architecting efficient and maintainable data processing workflows to normalize data from hundreds of contributors into a searchable, browseable, consistent form. In her new role, she will be advising and developing data processing services across the Publishing, Archives, and Digitization program.

Alison Wohlers, whose new title is Assistant Director for Shared Print, is CDL’s expert lead for its work in shared print, collective efforts to manage library print collections that enable sustainable stewardship of these vital materials. Alison plays a key role in UC’s systemwide shared print work and serves as Program Manager for the Western Regional Storage Trust (WEST), and she is a recognized leader in national and international shared print initiatives, including the Shared Print Partnership.

CDL congratulates Barbara, Amy, and Alison and thanks to all three for their excellent service to CDL and the UC!
