OECD Publications Become Open Access
OECD has announced that starting July 1, 2024, all OECD data and publications, including all materials at the OECD iLibrary, will be freely available. OECD Members have agreed to move to an open access model for their publications, and users can read OECD’s press release at their site for more information. The University of California’s subscription term to the iLibrary was prorated to extend through June 30, 2024, and previously included subscriptions on behalf of 7 UC campuses (Davis, Irvine, UCLA, Merced, San Diego, Santa Barbara, and UC Santa Cruz).
Platform access
The OECD iLibrary (http://www.oecd-ilibrary.org/) is now open access and will continue to provide access to OECD Publications through the end of 2024. Thereafter, all OECD content will be available on the main website (http://www.oecd.org) which is being redesigned and upgraded for these changes. OECD has described a different look and feel with the content at oecd.org from what users may be used to at the iLibrary – for example, book chapters, graphs, and tables may no longer have their own pages but will be available through the page for the book itself, and OECD has said they are discontinuing EPUB and READ formats. OECD has stated that all links from resources at the iLibrary (URLs and DOIs) will redirect to content at oecd.org, as content is added to the new site between July – December 2024.
CDL will continue to monitor and review these changes and make appropriate updates to the catalog as needed.
Statistics
As of July 2024, the OECD statistical data site OECD.Stat (https://stats.oecd.org/) now redirects to the new OECD Data Explorer site, at https://data-explorer.oecd.org. Note that this excel document maps all OECD.Stat datasets to their corresponding datasets at the new site.
IEA Statistics
Several campuses subscribed additionally to IEA Statistics, on the iLibrary. OECD has ceased offering this subscription service, and interested campuses can contact IEA directly for content options. IEA Statistics content will not move to oecd.org.
