Welcome, Carly Ryan!

CDL Shared Collections is very pleased to welcome our new Licensing Services Manager, Carly Ryan. Carly joined the Systemwide Licensing team on September 11, 2023, and her responsibilities will include drafting, reviewing, and managing electronic resource licenses negotiated by CDL on behalf of UC Libraries. She looks forward to collaborating with colleagues at CDL and campus libraries to work on both traditional subscription and transformative open access licenses.

Carly brings to her new role many years of licensing experience, and she most recently served as Licensing Contracts Manager for SCELC (Statewide California Electronic Library Consortium), a library consortium of over 100 members with a well-established licensing program. While at SCELC, Carly also participated in several special projects, including implementing new systems and supporting the annual SCELCapalooza conference.

Carly is thrilled to continue working with California libraries. She lives in Los Angeles where she enjoys collecting plants and jigsaw puzzles.
