SCP Monthly Update — August 2018

SCP has posted the distribution statistics report for the month of July. This monthly report shows net increase or decrease of titles from CDL licensed and selected open access collections. For serials distributions, SCP continued to focus on the major additions, withdrawals, and embargo changes for journal titles in all the EBSCOhost databases.  In June, 30 new titles were added (Art & architecture source 17 titles and CINAHL Plus 13 titles) and the removal of 466 titles (includes Academic Search Complete 423 titles and Business Source Complete 28 titles).  For Open Access Journals, 83 titles were added to Bentham online journals and 62 titles removed from DOAJ.

For monographs, we changed the collection name for 2001 titles from Springer Protocols online monographs to SpringerLink online monographs. Springer Protocols as the Springer Protocols platform was deactivated and its contents moved to the SpringerLink platform.  See details in CDLINFO article, SpringerProtocols.com content transitions on July 25.  Our major record distributions were: ACM conference proceedings (88 titles), ASME Digital Collection online conference proceedings (73 titles), Cambridge online monographs (87 titles), CRC Press. CRCnetBASE online monographs (288 titles), Elsevier monographs (80 titles), IEEE Xplore online conference proceedings (147 titles), JSTOR online monographs (642 titles), MIT Press online monographs (20 titles), OECD iLibrary online monographs (43 titles), Open access resource National Academies Press online monographs (40 titles), Royal Society of Chemistry online monographs (65 titles), SpringerLink monographs (1,148 titles, includes: Biomedical and life sciences monographs 77 titles,  Business and management 64 titles, Chemistry and materials science 53 titles, Computer science 129 titles, Earth and environmental science 64 titles, Economics and finance 52 titles, Engineering 161 titles, Literature, cultural and media studies 55 titles, Medicine 122 titles, Political science and international studies 58 titles, Social sciences 90 titles, and titles in other subsets), Wiley online monographs (90 titles), Airiti online monographs (108 titles), Apabi online monographs. Reference works (95 titles) and Superstar. Chinamaxx online monographs phase 1 (308 titles).

DDA programs with number changed as of today: Airiti DDA (2,978 discovery records + 626 purchased titles), and JSTOR CDL DDA pilot (3,894 discovery records + 556 purchased titles). DDA Programs with no change: CNPeReading CDL DDA online monographs (3,995 discovery records + 34 purchased titles), CRC Press ENGnetBASE online monographs 406 purchased titles (2013 package (105 titles), 2014 package (64 titles), 2015 package (133 titles), and 2016 package (104 titles)), EBSCO Japanese DDA 466 purchased titles, and YBP/Ebrary online monographs via ProQuest 665 purchased titles.

Please note:  Some of the Shared Cataloging Program records you receive may be the result of a batch cataloging process.  They may not meet the standards for full-level records.
