New Resource: CloudRead Chinese Contemporary Newspaper Database

The UC campuses have started a new Tier 2 subscription to the CloudRead Chinese Contemporary Newspaper Database.  Participating campuses include UC Berkeley (inc LBL), UC Davis, UC Irvine, UCLA, UC Merced, UC San Diego, and UC Santa Barbara. This subscription selects 50 core newspapers the campuses now have access to. These core newspapers are in the Chinese language and include major nationwide titles such as People’s Daily and PLA Daily, as well as most provincial and departmental newspapers.  The most significant feature of the database is that users can access newspapers as soon as published in China.
