Welcome to Laura Fouladi, CDL Acquisitions Coordinator
We are pleased to announce that Laura Fouladi is joining CDL as Acquisitions Coordinator, and her first day on the job will be Monday, March 6. Laura comes to us from UC Irvine, where she was the Metadata and Acquisitions Librarian at UC Irvine Law Library. She has worked at the Law Library since 2016, and joins the CDL Shared Collections team working at the UC San Diego Library. Laura’s experience includes acquisitions, vendor relationships, Alma/SILS, team collaboration, and customer service.
Laura studied classics and archaeology at Oberlin College and served in staff positions at several archaeological sites in Italy. When she first moved to California, Laura worked for a dog food company, managing the logistics of operating retail “dog food kitchens” all around Orange County and Los Angeles. She now spends most her spare time at playgrounds, trying to wear out her 3 kids (2-year-old twins and a 4-year-old). She also loves reading, gardening, and taking care of their family’s very needy elderly animals (2 pugs and 1 cat).
Please join us in welcoming Laura to CDL!
