Dash Service Update: March, 2018
Recent Enhancements, News, and Activities
- The Dash team has been busy parsing out the Code of Practice for Research Data to implement standardized and comparable data usage metrics (views, downloads) of datasets. A “how-to” guide for repositories and blog post on our implementation in Dash will be available soon. In the meantime, follow along our Make Data Count Github.
- After receiving multiple requests from researchers, Dash now only versions a dataset when the files have been changed. Versions now also show by the date they were versioned instead of the former Version 1, Version 2, etc.
- The Dash project began as DataShare at UCSF, but as of March 1, UCSF has now rebranded their instance as “UCSF Dash”. RIP DataShare!
- For more about our releases every two weeks, please follow along at our GitHub.
