HathiTrust September 2013 Update
An Executive Director search is under way for HathiTrust, as reported in the HT September update. Other highlights in September include a meeting of the Program Committee, where it was reported that new subgroups will be appointed to advance the establishment of a distributed print archive on monographic holdings corresponding to the digital content in HathiTrust, and that access to U.S. federal government publications will be expanded and enhanced.
Topics highlighted in breakout sessions at the HT Research Center UnCamp included computational access to the copyrighted corpus, and ways in which metadata enhancements could be coordinated between HTRC, the HathiTrust repository, and Zephir, a new bibliographic management system for HathiTrust under development by the California Digital Library.
Read about these and other accomplishments, including a summary of focus group sessions on the HT government documents registry, most popular titles, numbers of items in the collection, in this month’s update.
