ASU Gap Filling Pilot – Final Report and Recommendations Now Available!
In Fall of 2022, Arizona State University (ASU) began work on a gap filling pilot project with WEST. This pilot project was intended to both increase the completeness of select medium and high risk level (formerly referred to as Silver and Gold) archived titles at ASU through backfile extension and additional gap filling, and gain insight into key questions about the overall value and viability of a dedicated gap-filling project in WEST. You can read more about the history of this pilot, and see a full timeline here: https://cdlib.org/west/about-west/west-pilots-and-projects/gap-filling-pilot/
Now, we are very happy to announce that the ASU Gap Filling Pilot -Final Report and Recommendations is available for all to read!
A huge thank you to our colleagues at ASU: Shari Laster (Unit Head and Librarian, Open Collections Curation and Access) and Joel Smalley (Lead, Bibliographic & Serials Maintenance). Their hard work and dedication made this pilot possible and will continue to positively impact WEST for years to come as we work to implement the recommendations outlined in the report.
