Highlights on Cataloging OA resources:

  • Libros UNAM: Open Access: Requested by a UCB selector. UNAM Open Access Books portal is provided by the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) and contains over 2000 OA eBooks that academic entities and university departments publish and distribute freely and free of charge. No CZ collection yet. SCP cataloged as a Local-OA collection at the database level (Collection ID: 61558932240006531 MMS ID: 9920591905506531).
  • The Database of Religious History: Requested by a UCSB selector. The DRH began as one of the flagship initiatives of the Cultural Evolution of Religion Research Consortium (CERC), based at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. No CZ collection yet. SCP cataloged as a Local-OA collection at the database level (Collection ID: 61557845550006531; MMS ID: 9920557161506531).

Highlights on Other Activities:

  • JSTOR DDA Updates:
    • Removing 2024 frontlist titles of Duke University Press from JSTOR DDA Pool as a result of CDL newly licensed Duke University Press frontlist 2024-2026
    • JSTOR will end the direct hosting of the JSTOR DDA program on their platform at the end of May and has asked their customers to transition their JSTOR DDA program to either EBSCO/GOBI or ProQuest. JSTOR representatives have met
      and discussed the transition with CDL staff. SCP staff has worked on a list of questions in anticipation of the meeting and is learning the process from EBSCO/GOBI and ProQuest. SCP will provide input to CDL regarding cataloging workload impact.
  • NZ maintenance activities: recently several collections in need to switch to a different CZ collection that SCP catalogers have involved in these tasks. Collections had changed or in process of change are:
    • SCP GOBI Oxford Scholarship Online 2023 Frontlist (Oxford Scholarship Online (Local-L) → Linked portfolios to CZ
    • Oxford University Press Journals
    • CRL GPA collections created locally: Activated CZ collection, and deactivate local collection and clean up portfolios.
