Updated AGUA On Demand Comparison Filtering Capability

The AGUA Development Team has completed updates to the new filtering capabilities in the On Demand Comparison tool. Users may now select whether to include or exclude titles from their results based on specific criteria, such as archiving program, validation actions, and how much of the published backfile is archived.

Updated AGUA On Demand Comparison tool filters, with "Include" and "Exclude" filter modes

The Include filters will report all holdings for a title if any holdings of that title match all of the selected criteria. The Exclude filters will report all holdings for a title if no holdings of that title match any of the selected criteria. The Include filters may be useful for identifying candidates for local deselection, while the Exclude filters may be useful for identifying candidates for retention. These two filter modes are mutually exclusive, and cannot be combined in a single query.

Users are strongly encouraged to read Appendix 1 of the AGUA User Manual (starting on page 24) before using the updated filters to familiarize themselves with the updated features and underlying logic.

As a reminder, these filters are in ‘beta,’ meaning that WEST is seeking user feedback on the filter options, underlying logic, and results to identify bugs and inform future development. Please send questions and feedback to the WEST Project Team.
