Welcome Emily Jen, CDL Research Finance Analyst

Please join CDL in extending a very warm welcome to Emily Jen, who joins CDL’s Finance & Operations Team in the role of Research Finance Analyst. In her new position, Emily will be responsible for providing direct research and grant administration support to CDL program directors and staff, as well as assisting in a full range of activities associated with the annual CDL budget process. Emily will work closely with the UCOP Budget Office and Research Grants Program Office, as well as other key stakeholders within and outside of UCOP associated with finance and post award research management.

Emily possesses deep experience within the UC system, including 20+ years at UC Irvine. Most recently, she held the position of Senior Financial Analyst at the UCI School of Humanities, responsible for managing annual operating and research funding for 5 administrative units, 5 academic units, and 18 centers and programs. In her role, she also maintained oversight of financial and budgetary transactions for federal/state/private contracts and grants, as well as gifts and revenue accounts. Emily’s previous positions also include the UCI TEC Business Center and the UCI Libraries Business office, among others.

Emily will report to Zainab Olaosebikan, CDL Director of Finance and Operations. Her first day is May 1, 2023. Welcome, Emily!
