Welcome, Daisy Nip!
Please join us in welcoming Daisy Nip, CDL’s new Systemwide Data Analyst in Systemwide Library Planning.
Daisy joins us from the County of Los Angeles Department of Health Services (DHS), where she developed and implemented a program for managing and retrieving core DHS data. Also at the DHS, Daisy worked in the Office of Managed Care and My Health LA Program, where she gathered data and carried out analyses for reporting and planning purposes, working in partnership with colleagues across the department.
Before joining the DHS in 2016, Daisy spent time with the information technologists and clerks of the Los Angeles Registrar Recorder/County Clerk, in the Education and Evaluation Unit and Management Information Systems Unit.
Daisy is a graduate of Drexel University, where she majored in health informatics and minored in health services administration. She obtained her master’s degree in management of library and information science from the University of Southern California, before returning to Drexel for her second master’s degree in informatics.
Daisy grew up and still lives in Rosemead, California. In her spare time, Daisy enjoys playing the koto and guzheng, studying the Chinese and Japanese languages, challenging herself with advanced computer equipment, and spending time with her boyfriend. She enjoys traveling around the world and volunteering with library associations, including the Medical Library Association, and the libraries at South Baylo University and the American Military Museum.
Daisy will work remotely from Rosemead. Welcome, Daisy.
