CDL Job Opening: Assistant Director for Open Access Agreements

The Assistant Director for Open Access Agreements is responsible for stewarding California Digital Library activities related to publisher agreements for open access, including analysis, data and financial modeling, negotiations, implementation, administration, and assessment. Reporting to the CDL Director of Shared Collections, the Assistant Director is charged with designing and executing highly complex analyses of publishing activity by University of California authors, coupled with corresponding financial and expenditure data, to derive key insights that drive the development and adoption of promising new open access publishing business models.

As an expert in scholarly publishing data analytics, the Assistant Director for Open Access Agreements plays a key role in communicating insights and analysis to a wide variety of stakeholders across the University, including faculty, senior administrators, and library decision-makers, and will represent CDL and the UC Libraries in related mission-critical collaborations with extramural partners.
