Debra Bartling Retires

After more than a decade at CDL, Debra Bartling has announced her retirement, effective March 1st of this year. She has been a key member of the technical staff throughout her tenure with us, first as a member of Discovery & Delivery (D2D) team and then as a member of Infrastructure and Applications Support (IAS), with numerous contributions to the organization, both in her achievements and in how she produced those results. Her work has always been exceptional and we were lucky to benefit from it as long as we have.

While with D2D, she had many significant accomplishments, including creating their first AWS environment for the PAPR grant project, which help lead to our eventual complete infrastructure migration into AWS. Immediately after joining the IAS team, she was responsible for migrating our database environment into RDS MySQL (in AWS) and for providing the technical work required to migrate the CDL web site into AWS.

Unfortunately, all good things come to an end and Debra has decided that this is the right time for her to step away from UC and enjoy the benefits of retirement.
