Licensing Positions Available at the California Digital Library!

The Assistant Director for Systemwide Licensing (Req #20190376) will lead and manage systemwide licensing activities for digital scholarly content on behalf of the University of California Libraries, including responsibility for a $40M+ licensed content portfolio and oversight of all phases of licensing activity from inception through acquisitions and ongoing management. Working in close collaboration with CDL’s Associate Executive Director / Director of Collection & Development Management, the Assistant Director manages and provides strategic and operational direction to a distributed licensing and collection services staff of 12+ FTE in two primary locations (Oakland and UC San Diego) and is a key collaborator in developing strategic directions for the CDL collections program as a whole.

The Licensed Content Development Coordinator (Req #20190456) has primary responsibility for negotiating with vendors and working with librarians across the UC system to build and maintain worldclass licensed collections on behalf of all ten UC campuses.  Reporting to the Assistant Director for Systemwide Licensing and working in a highly collaborative environment, the licensed content development coordinator will work synergistically across UC to support and facilitate a dynamic, future-oriented licensed collections program.
