Statista is cancelled effective Saturday, June 30, 2018

The CDL subscription to Statista has been cancelled effective June 30, due to unsustainable price increases from the vendor.

A price increase imposed by the vendor when CDL requested an adjustment of pricing terms that was needed to accommodate changes in campus participation would have increased UC’s systemwide cost by 137%.   In addition, two content components were removed from the version of the product that UC licensed; retaining that content would have incurred an additional subscription cost over and above the proposed increases.

The systemwide cancellation was approved by the Shared Content Leadership Group (SCLG), representing all UC campuses.  Alternatives to Statista will be investigated.
