Call for WEST Cycle 6 (2016/17) Statistics is Underway – extended deadline: Friday, October 27, 2017

WEST Cycle 6 statistics gathering is well underway! Thank you to everyone who has responded to our call – we greatly appreciate it. Following each cycle, WEST collects deselection, archiving, and lending statistics from our Members and Archive Holders.

Currently, for the entire WEST membership, we are collecting statistics on deselection activities between July 2016 and June 2017 (i.e. Cycle 6). We are interested in not only reviewing the Cycle 6 data on its own, but also comparing it to the data from previous WEST cycles.

From Archive Holders, WEST is collecting 2016/17 lending statistics for WEST materials. This information will allow the WEST Project Team to compare data collected across cycles in order to better understand use patterns for archive types. Additionally, Archive Holders report on their progress in archiving materials they committed to for Archive Cycles 6 & 7.

WEST is accepting Cycle 6 statistics until Friday, October 27, 2017 (extended deadline), and encourages members who haven’t done so already to complete the applicable statistics template.
