CDL Job Opening for Information Services Analyst

The California Digital Library (CDL) supports the education, research, and public service mission of the University of California in partnership with the ten campus University of California Libraries system. The CDL has four core programs: Collection Development; Discovery & Delivery; Access & Publishing; and the UC Curation Center.

As a member of the CDL Information Services Team, the Information Services Analyst will provide support to the CDL program teams responsible for the development and ongoing management of UC Libraries’ digital library collections and services, and importantly, to the users of those services. The primary user base of CDL programs and services include UC faculty, students and library staff.

The Information Services Analyst will provide user support for a range of CDL-managed services, included but not limited to the Melvyl Catalog, Request, UC-eLinks, the Online Archive of California, and Calisphere. A primary responsibility of the position is serving on the CDL Helpdesk, including staffing the Helpline, triaging and troubleshooting problems with CDL services and UC-licensed resources, and identifying issues with policy implications for CDL programs and services. Ideal candidates will have a commitment to excellence in customer service, are technically adept and able to learn and support new and quickly-changing technologies; and have the ability to research solutions or information regarding technical issues.
