CDL Welcomes Khatira Nawabi

On Tuesday, September 27th, Khatira Nawabi joined CDL as my new Executive Assistant, and Ivy Anderson’s Administrative Assistant, beginning .

Khatira brings a wealth of experience and an impressive portfolio to her new position, including high-level experience in preparing correspondence, reports and presentations, as well as skillfully managing senior leadership calendars, arranging meetings, conferences and travel. She has also served as a knowledge manager for data, correspondence, matter files, reports and other documentation associated with academic and legal matters.

Most recently, Khatira served as an Executive Assistant to Vice Provost Susan Carlson for Academic Personnel and Programs (“APP”) at UCOP. Prior to APP, she served as a Legal Support Specialist with the UCOP Office of the General Counsel (“OGC”) assisting senior counsel in the Labor, Employment & Benefits and Education Abroad Programs.

Khatira’s accomplishments at UCOP include volunteering as a member of the Office of the President Professional Community (OPPC), promoting greater community awareness and participation of UCOP staff by cross-collaborating with other UCOP affinity groups, establishing and maintaining community relationships with the city of Oakland, and performing other outreach activities in the Bay Area. She co-chaired OGC’s Employee Appreciation Committee and was an active member of OGC’s Diversity Committee. Previous to working at UCOP she was a legal assistant at several Bay Area law firms.
