Systemwide Library Research Analyst

The University of California Libraries system includes more than 100 libraries at the 10 UC campuses, the California Digital Library, and two regional library facilities. The Systemwide Library Research Analyst sits within the California Digital Library (CDL) and is a member of the CDL Associate Vice Provost and Executive Director’s (“AVP/ED”) executive office team.

Under the general direction of the CDL AVP/ED, the Systemwide Library Research Analyst provides UC systemwide committees, including the Council of University Librarians (CoUL), the Systemwide Library and Scholarly Information Committee (SLASIAC), and the Shared Library Facilities Board with support for strategic planning, assessment, policy development, communication, and committee activities, including agenda building, member recruitment, and other operational matters.

The incumbent also works on direct behalf of the California Digital Library programs and services through contributions to strategic and project planning activities, research, assessment, proposal development and project implementation. Assigned projects require analysis of situations or data that possess a range of variable factors. Position requires a high degree of organization, discretion, professionalism and confidentiality.
