CDL welcomes Matthew McKinley

Matthew McKinley has just joined CDL as the new Metadata Harvest Operator for Calisphere, and will be working alongside Mark, Adrian and Brian to perform/monitor Calisphere metadata harvests, as well as making improvements to the harvester codebase.

Matthew earned his MSIS in 2010 from the University of Texas School of Information, with a concentration in digital archives and records management. While previously employed as Digital Project Specialist at UC Irvine Libraries, Matthew used his combined archival and technological knowledge to develop and enhance digital preservation and access workflows as well as many other digital projects. Outside of work, Matthew enjoys playing/writing/obsessing over music, cooking, reading ‘difficult’ novels/comics, and seeking out tiki bars.

Matthew will be telecommuting from LA (but hopes to meet everyone when he visits Oakland soon).  We’re looking forward to Matthew bringing new contributors and content into Calisphere!  Welcome, Matthew.
