All campuses have access to a new resource, Statista.  Statista.com is a statistics portal that integrates data on over 60,000 topics from over 18,000 sources into eye-catching charts and graphs that can be reused without licensing restrictions. Categorized into 21 market sectors, Statista.com provides quantitative data on media, business, finance, politics, and a wide variety of other markets.  The resource is especially well-suited to undergraduates in need of quick authoritative statistics.

Additionally, Statista includes 60 industry reports (from mechanical engineering and healthcare to telecommunications) presenting not only numerical data on areas such as trends in turnover or revenue, but also on identified strengths and weaknesses. Statista’s industry reports are updated annually.

A group of subject selectors chaired by Lucia Orlando (UCSC) evaluated Statista for the Collection Licensing group and highly recommended the systemwide acquisition.
