WEST Strategic Planning Meeting June 3rd

The WEST Executive Committee and Operations & Collections Council will meet on June 3 in Oakland, California to plan for subsequent WEST phases. The goals of WEST’s strategic planning this year are to explore options for change to the existing program to reach sustainability in 2016 and to explore possible additional services for the journal archiving program. WEST’s strategic planning is informed by the assessment of Phase 1, which included a member survey, an evaluation of WEST member fees relative to other trusted services, and a review of WEST archive commitments and disclosures.

Following the in-person June meeting of the governance groups, WEST will hold two web-based meetings for all members to review and confirm recommendations for change to the program. These meetings will occur in the fall of 2014.
