New Archive Holders in Cycle 4

WEST will invite many more member institutions to serve as Archive Holders in Archive Cycle 4 (2014-2015). WEST is currently completing its annual regional collections analysis for Archive Cycle 4 and has identified deep backfiles for potential archiving by members that have not yet served as Archive Holders. By distributing responsibilities more broadly, WEST has responded to members’ desires to participate more fully in the program and support the development of our regional archives.

Proposed lists will be distributed to all Archive Holders in June/July for local review and archiving decisions.

An orientation for new Archive Holders will be offered by webinar and at the WEST Member meeting at ALA Annual in Las Vegas. WEST members are encouraged to review the roles and responsibilities of Archive Holders and Builders.
