EZID Service Update: May 2013

Recent Enhancements, News, and Activities

  • Mark your calendars! The DataCite summer meeting will take place at the National Academy of Sciences (NAS) in Washington DC on September 19 – 20th. The meeting will begin at 13:30 on Sept. 19th and will be collocated with the RDA Second Plenary [] (Sept 16-18) and CODATA task group (Sept. 18th).
  • EZID has a powerful machine-to-machine interface, or API. The EZID technical team recently updated the API documentation to provide more detail and also a complete command line tool for accessing EZID services. One very useful feature is that the tool can easily be scripted to perform batch operations. For more information, see the Python example documentation ( and the batch processing documentation (
