DMPTool Service Update — September & October 2012
Recent Enhancements, News, and Activities
October was our biggest month ever: 375 new users in October. There is now a total of almost 3500 users, and they’ve created almost 3,000 plans total. Among the UC campuses, there were 49 new users, bringing the total of UC users to 553. UC users have created 484 plans.
Several more universities customized the DMPTool for their researchers, bringing the total to 26. UC Berkeley, UC Irvine, UCSD and UCLA have added customized information for their users, and CDL/UC3 provides links and help text to UC3 data management services to all UC users.
There was a service outage on September 19-20. The DMPTool service was unavailable from approximately 6:30pm on Sept 19 until 9am on Sept 20. We did not have adequate monitoring in place so that the data center staff was unaware of the problem. We have corrected this problem and now have 24/7 monitoring in place.
