Job Announcement: Technical Team Manager at the California Digital Library

The University of California’s California Digital Library is hiring for a Technical Team Manager to manage, guide, and mentor five developers within the Discovery and Delivery Program. Work includes technical leadership on two critical metadata ingest systems: Zephir (for HathiTrust) and AGUA (for the WEST consortium), the building out of an academic version of Palace (an open eBook repository), nascent AI products developed in line with library ethics and principles, and other projects as they arise.Technical leadership is essential for this position while experience in the library domain is preferred but not required.

Note: This position has the potential to be fully remote for a California resident. If the successful candidate lives within 50 miles of the University of California Office of the President headquarters in Oakland, a hybrid or fully in-office work arrangement is required.

Salary Range: $160,000 – $175,000
