WEST is holding its summer 2024 member meeting virtually on Friday, July 26, from 10am-12pm PT / 11am-1pm MT / 12-2pm CT / 1-3pm ET.

The meeting will be recorded. 

There will be two primary sessions during this year’s member meeting. The first hour will be devoted to reporting back to WEST members on progress in implementing Future of WEST recommendations and investigations. This session will include an exciting update on the launch of a pilot with the Internet Archive and a report from the WEST Executive Committee vice chair on ongoing strategic planning discussions in WEST’s governance bodies. 

The second hour will be a dynamic panel discussion of how libraries are harnessing the value of WEST and shared print programs like it through local decision-making and action. We will hear from three libraries with distinct journal collection review approaches, how WEST features in their thinking, and the potential they see for the future of harnessing shared collections for strategic collection management and development.
