California Digital Library Welcomes Nika Worth as Shared Print Analyst!

I am delighted to announce that Nika Worth will join the California Digital Library (CDL) as Shared Print Analyst effective Monday, July 8, 2024. The Shared Print Team at CDL is part of the Shared Collections program area, which also includes Systemwide Licensing and Open Access. In the Shared Print Analyst role, Nika will coordinate operations, collections analysis, statistics, and reporting for both the Western Regional Storage Trust (WEST) and for UC Libraries’ shared print initiatives, such as the Journal Archiving Campaign Service (JACS). Nika will also work closely with the CDL D2D AGUA Development Team and support WEST and UC participation in the national Shared Print Partnership, a merger of the Rosemont Shared Print Alliance and the Partnership for Shared Book Collections.

Nika comes to CDL with considerable experience in shared print collaborations. Nika served as the Graduate Theological Union’s inaugural Shared Collections Librarian and supported GTU’s first years of participation in both the SCELC and WEST shared print programs. During her time at GTU, Nika was also appointed as the Partnership for Shared Book Collections’ part-time Program Coordinator and successfully balanced a portfolio packed with collaborative collection work. As Program Coordinator for the Partnership, Nika contributed to a range of operational and strategic activities including the merger with the Rosemont Shared Print Alliance and coordinating across the myriad of governance and working groups that advance Partnership priorities. Nika brings an impressive array of analytical, project management, and communication skills to the CDL Shared Print Team – we cannot wait for her to arrive!

Nika received her BA from Saint Mary’s College of California and MLIS from San Jose State University. Outside of work, Nika enjoys reading, writing, biking, and sewing, along with the daily struggle of trying to keep her two cats away from her various fiber arts projects. Nika will be working remotely from Davis, California!

Please join me in welcoming Nika to CDL!
