Welcome to Marri Atienza, CDL’s new Information Services Analyst!

Marri Atienza headshotI am very pleased to announce that Marri Atienza has joined the Information Services team as our newest Information Services Analyst beginning June 3. In this role, Marri will join Kristen Chua providing essential support to users of CDL services as well as to the program teams responsible for the development and ongoing management of the UC Libraries’ digital library collections and services.

Marri brings significant experience supporting the time-sensitive needs of library users in a variety of roles. Most recently, Marri worked as the Borrowing Assistant in the UC Berkeley Library’s Resource Sharing Division where she supported research and teaching needs, and managed the demand-driven acquisitions program. In addition to her regular duties, Marri also helped the UCB community weather the sudden campus closures during the COVID-19 pandemic by creating a detailed guide for navigating HathiTrust’s Emergency Temporary Access Service (ETAS) and contributing to the eReserves Project to provide electronic access to course materials. Prior to this role, Marri served as the Document Delivery Coordinator at UCB’s Public Health Library, Student Assistant III at CSU Sacramento, and as a Departmental Aide at the John F. Kennedy Library in Vallejo. We are thrilled to bring Marri’s extensive public service experience, wide-ranging curiosity, and creative problem solving skills to the Information Services team.

Marri holds Associates degrees in Psychology and Social & Behavioral Sciences from Napa Valley College, a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from CSU Sacramento, and an MLIS with an advanced certificate in strategic management of digital assets and services from San José State University.

Outside of work, Marri enjoys playing badminton, traveling, trying new restaurants, and spending time with family and friends.

Please join me in welcoming Marri to CDL!
