Say Hello to Liz Miraglia, the Discovery and Delivery Program’s new Associate Director
The California Digital Library’s Discovery and Delivery program team is thrilled to welcome Liz Miraglia to her new role as Associate Director. Liz brings with her nine years of experience with the UC Libraries, working in various programs and roles including as a Serials Specialist and the Head of Books and Serials Metadata. Her most recent concurrent roles with UC San Diego were as the Assistant Program Director for Metadata Services and the Head of Books and Serials.
Most recently, Liz has been instrumental in the strategic and operational work on the UC-wide systemwide ILS (or SILS). Liz has also served on the HathiTrust Community Metadata Strategy Taskforce, UCSD’s Ethical and Inclusive Metadata Committee, and the Library of Congress Program for Cooperative Cataloging Standing Committee on Standards. Liz is a skilled leader, facilitator, and partner. Her expertise and collaborative approach to conversations and decisions is a welcome addition to the Discovery and Delivery program.
On weekends, you can find Liz searching for vistas across San Diego County. Liz is also interested in historical fiction, ancient languages, and road trips.
Liz’s first day will be May 6th, 2024. Please join us in welcoming Liz to our team!
