WEST Deselection and Gap Filling Resources
One of WEST’s core program goals is to facilitate local space reclamation by creating a robust and highly reliable archive of shared print journal collections. To help members take full advantage of this shared collection, WEST has developed a number of tools that leverage the data collected during the collections analyses and via the archiving disclosure work WEST Archivers engage in. WEST members also have access to other valuable tools and resources that have been developed by other partners in the shared print community. To help members navigate the various tools and resources, WEST held a workshop ahead of its summer 2023 Member Meeting to provide an overview of what’s available, brief demonstrations of key tools available via AGUA, and information about the other tools and resources members have access to.
This workshop was recorded, and is available to WEST members and non-members alike to support their local deselection efforts and facilitate filling gaps in shared print holdings. An accompanying list of resources is also available for quick access to each of these resources.
