Welcome Lisa Moske

Lisa Moske is joining CDL’s Collection Development and Management group in the contract position of Shared Content Service Support Coordinator. Lisa starts today, September 1, and will be with us for up to one year.

As the Shared Content Service Support Coordinator, Lisa will be filling a key role that has been vacant for a few years on the Licensed Content Team. She will be assisting in all areas of our shared collection development efforts, including working on behalf of JSC to survey campuses and gather information for potential purchases, working with the collections data needed to make purchase and renewal decisions, supporting our efforts to bring LLNL into CDL contracts, and serving as a member of SCLG’s STAR team, to name a few.

Lisa comes to us with an impressive resume. She has an MLS from UCLA, and MA and BA degrees in Sociology from Cal State LA and UCLA, respectively. Most recently she was with UCLA as the OpenUCLA Project Manager, where she helped to launch their OpenUCLA web portal and expanded their affordable and open course materials initiatives. She spent several years in IT and Instructional Technology services management, in academia and in the municipal sector. Most notably and relevant to our work at CDL, Lisa spent 8 years managing electronic resources on a consortial basis for the CSU system through the Chancellor’s Office. In that role, she administered systemwide licenses as well as a $29 million budget, gathered and analyzed collections metrics, and managed shared services for the 23 CSU campuses. Lisa brings a great base of knowledge to successfully help CDL manage the needs of our campuses in acquiring new shared content and analyzing data to make sound, shared decisions.

Lisa will be working from her home in Torrance. She can be reached at lisa.moske@ucop.edu and she’ll be added to all relevant team spaces, including Slack channels. Please help give her a warm welcome!
