DMPTool Launch News: February 27
Recent Enhancements, News, and Activities
- DMPTool Launch Date. We’re excited to announce the much-anticipated launch date for the new version of the DMPTool: Tues, 27 Feb. Please note that the tool will be unavailable from 8am-5pm on the day of the launch. We added a banner message on the homepage to alert users to plan accordingly. Following the migration, everyone will have seamless access to their existing accounts through a new user interface that looks and feels more like our partner tool in the UK (more about the new version on the DMPTool blog). Admins will regain full functionality to create and edit templates and guidance in the new version.
- Webinar for Administrators. To help DMPTool admins prepare themselves and their institutional users for the upcoming launch, we will host a webinar on Mon 26 Feb, 9-10am PST. Zoom link (recording will be available afterward).
- Post-Launch Plans. We’ll continue fixing bugs, as well as refining and enhancing the DMPTool interface. Please report any issues and suggestions for improvement once you begin test driving things (details on how to provide feedback forthcoming). After the launch, we plan to devote more energy to making DMPs machine-actionable. Join us at the RDA plenary in Berlin (21-23 Mar) and expect more news on this front very soon.
