Meet UC3’s Associate Director, Catherine Nancarrow
CDL happily welcomes Catherine Nancarrow as UC3’s Associate Director. Catherine will be working across the range of systemwide projects at UC3, providing oversight and support for the group’s product managers and facilitating communications within UC3 and across CDL and the UC campuses.
Catherine brings to CDL her experience in managing and juggling multiple complex projects with distributed teams on tight deadlines, most recently working in open access publishing.
Catherine launched and led the growth and management of PLOS’ four researcher-led specialty journals and has served as Consulting Editor for JAMA Internal Medicine. She has multiple prior connections to the UC community. She worked as Academic Coordinator for the Academic Geriatric Resource Program (AGRP), a part of UC Health, and served as Managing Editor of wjm-western journal of medicine, then co-owned by UC and the BMJ Publishing Group.
Catherine brings to CDL in-depth knowledge of open scholarship; best practices in content and data sharing and publication ethics; and a keen understanding of the individual and collective power of UC and its campuses. Welcome, Catherine!
