Women and Social Movements in the U.S., 1600-2000 transitions to new platform

Alexander Street‘s Women and Social Movements in the United States, 1600 – 2000 database has transitioned to a new platform which it now shares with two related products: Women and Social Movements International and Women and Social Movements in Modern Empires.  Currently, all UC campuses have access to Women and Social Movements in the United States, 1600 – 2000.

All permanent URLs, bookmarks, and embed codes, related to the collection that appeared on previous versions of the platform automatically point to the new and enhanced platform.

In addition to making all the Women and Social Movements databases cross-searchable, the new platform includes:

    • Faceted browsing capabilities: Browse content with “smart facets” that change as you search, allowing you quickly to find exactly what you’re looking for. It’s as if the interface knows what you’re asking.
    • Discipline- and genre-based landing pages with featured content.
    • The ability to translate every page, liner note, and transcript into dozens of languages using Google Translate.
    • Tools for exporting citations in MLA, Chicago, and APA formats.
