Brian Riley joins UC3
Brian Riley, Application Programmer with CDL’s Discovery & Delivery team, has been on loan to UC3 working on the DMPTool service – helping with our AWS migration and implementing some long-awaited updates and bug fixes to DMPTool. UC3 is happy to announce that Brian Riley is now officially part of the UC3 team. Brian will be the Technical Lead on the DMPTool Project Roadmap, a collaboration with the UK’s Digital Curation Centre’s DMPonline tool.
For those of you who don’t know much about Brian, he moved to the Bay Area from the East Coast three years ago when he joined the CDL as a member of the Discovery and Delivery team. During that time, he revamped the PURL service, contributed to the Cedilla project, joined the PAPR team and helped with the D & D team’s migration to the Amazon environment. Prior to his stint with the CDL he worked as a developer for Connecticut College and before that with several companies in the print mail industry.
When Brian is not at work, he enjoys sailing on San Francisco Bay, sampling California’s ample collection of wines and craft beers, and continues to spend many of his weekends exploring the region.
Brian’s last day on the D2D team will be May 20th; however, he will continue to provide some of his time, 20%, to support a D2D project scheduled to end in September.
We are very excited to have Brian on our team.
