Katrina Romanowsky leaving CDL
Katrina Romanowsky, the Access & Publishing Group’s Community & Outreach Manager, will be leaving CDL to pursue other creative endeavors. Her last day in the office will be Friday, May 6th.
Katrina joined the Access & Publishing Group in 2013 to serve as the eScholarship Community & Outreach Manager, a role initially devised to increase user engagement with our institutional repository and open access publishing services. Almost immediately after her hire however, the faculty senate passed a systemwide Open Access Policy that fundamentally changed the work our team needed to tackle and the services we needed to provide. Katrina was up to speed in no time, and quickly established herself as an invaluable member of our team, as well as a trusted resource for our campus library partners.
She also delivered engaging presentations regarding most of these projects to stakeholders both within and outside of the UC. Of course, on top of all of this, Katrina kept constantly on top of an ever-growing number of requests from our users, set up new and maintained existing client relationships, and built strong user confidence in eScholarship’s services and support.
While we’re quite sad to see her go, CDL wishes Katrina all the very best in her future endeavors.
