DMPTool Service Update: September 2015
Recent Enhancements, News, and Activities
- New Template. In response to updated guidelines, we added a drop-down menu for the US Department of Energy (DOE) with a new “DOE: Generic” template. Check out the DMPTool blog for the full story.
- Template Inventory. We have a growing list of templates that we plan to add to the DMPTool in the coming months. If you hear anything about new requirements or have a pressing need for a particular template, let us know and we’ll move it to the front of the queue.
- COS Grant to Connect the DMPTool to the OSF. Raymond Yee—who teaches in the iSchool at Berkeley and is well known around the CDL—received awards from the Center for Open Science (COS) to connect the DMPTool and Evernote with their cloud-based research data management platform, the Open Science Framework (OSF). The use case is detailed here on GitHub. For this first phase of integration, only OSF users will be presented with info about the DMPTool, rather than introducing the OSF within the DMPTool. This is a great step toward promoting a DMP as a living document and a great test case for working with the open source development community. Stay tuned for updates as work progresses.
