Shared Cataloging Program (SCP) Monthly Update: April 2015

scp2The major monograph distributions were for Naxos (7485 titles), Naxos Jazz (1327 titles), Knovel (1182 titles), Materials Research Society (288 titles), MIT Press (219 titles), IEEE (197 titles), SPIE (135 titles), EBSCO (118 titles), and CRC Press (94 titles). For serials our major distributions were for Open Access (522 titles), JSTOR (47 titles), and EBSCO (32 titles).

There are now 3,425 DDA titles available from YBP/Ebrary, 1,962 titles available for the EBSCO Japanese DDA, and 1,247 titles from the Airiti DDA. As of this date, we have recorded 249 purchases from YBP/Ebrary, eleven from the EBSCO Japanese, and four from Airiti.

Lastly, our package cataloging statistics as of the end of the first quarter 2015 are available from the SCP website. These statistics note the number of titles cataloged in each package and the net change, if any, from the previous quarter. Some notable increases include the addition of 1805 new open access serials and 135 new JSTOR titles. On the monographs side, there were 8811 new audio titles from Naxos, 2765 new Springer titles, 1186 new titles for Knovel, 548 new titles from IEEE, and 862 new monographs from Elsevier including titles in three new subject areas: clinical medicine, health professions, and veterinary medicine.
