Recent Enhancements, News, and Activities
- SDSC Migration update. We are close to completing the migration of content from the UCOP Data Center to the SDSC Cloud Storage service. This migration should be finished in mid November.
- UCLA Replication. Once the content migration to SDSC is completed, we will begin the next phase by replicating all content to the UCLA IDRE storage service. We decided to do these two projects sequentially, in order to not overload the storage server or database. Once completed, all Merritt content will be replicated in two separate data centers at SDSC and UCLA, providing a higher level of reliability. We will replicate all new content to the two data centers automatically.
- “Poodle” attack. In response to the “Poodle” attack, we disabled SSLv3 on all of the UC3 secure websites for Merritt, Dash and DMPTool. We made this change on October 15, as soon as the vulnerability was identified. More on this latest vulnerability is here:

Merritt Service Description
Merritt is a production level service that provides the UC community with an easy to use tool to manage, archive, and share their content. Content can be deposited and managed via a user-interface or an API.
