EZID Client List growing
EZID (easy-eye-dee) offers a simple but powerful way to use identifiers to track research materials, including datasets, throughout their lifecycle. EZID’s unique identifiers can be highly reliable aids in data management, data sharing, and citation tracking.
The service had a soft roll-out in June of 2010, with a full release to the University of California in September, 2010. By January, 2011, we opened the doors to researchers, institutions and organizations outside of the UCs. Here we are, 10 months later, and we have a growing list of educational institutions, nonprofits, government agencies, and a commercial client as well on board. Over 20 additional organizations are in some phase of considering the service.
We’ve recently published a partial list of our clients, and we invite you take a look at their interesting work and service offerings.
